I think I understand this one- is it the A seen in the sky by Dimmesdale in The Scarlet Letter?
The coloring of the foreground is interesting, and i think that it was drawn very well and fits nicely with the night sky. However, the sky seems splotchy- it needs smoother blending from the black to the blue. The fence on the right appears to be crooked on purpose, which I like very much.
The only complaint are the brown objects- are they trees or curtains? They seem to be hovering over the ground instead of being connected to it. I wish I knew what scene this was illustrating. Good job!

the coloring of the ground is interesting and the trees are nice and the snow,
but honestly, why did you pick red for your ground?

i am not shure i understand this one. the shading in the sky went really went really well. i am not shure about the contrast of blue shy with red ground though.

the painting is good, I just can't figure out what book it's from. It's a nice scene though, the colours, and painting is great

I did not understand your subject until i really looked at it and i like it. I think the transition from black/blue to blue just needs to be blended together smoother. Overall i love the scene you chose!

I respect what you did here, the Scarlet letter is a ver y difficult book to illistrate, as can be witnessed in the poor cover art of my copy in which Hester looks like a possed demon with a baby... its scary. I like the redish ground, it adds to the austerity of the scene, as does the minimalistic foreground. Seeing as the puritian society in which the book was set is very unforgiving and austere, as well as the fact that nature plays a big role in the novel, I think this was a great choice. My only real criticism is that your painting isn't as good as it was on past projects, however I think the dificulty of this task and the creativity you utilized make up for it. Good job :)

I like the use of the colors but i think that the legs are a little too skinny. but overall its nice

i like your idea and the colors in the sky, but i'm just a little confused at why you chose red. Looks good though!

i like the color of the sky and the contrast of the red ground is really cool looking and i like how although it is the scarlet letter, its not the first thing you think of when you look at it. it makes you think about it which is interesting

i like the color of the sky verses the color of the ground in this painting. perhaps the lines could be a bit more exact? it's difficult to tell what you are trying to protray at first. great job overall!

the red seems to drastic from the blue..maybe your color choice could have been different. overall i like the idea and good job!
