the colors work so well together, i love the shadow shape in the middle, lines just could of been more straight but other than that great job!

I love how you were able to portray a chessboard without being too obvious about it. I really had to think about where each box fit into the chessboard. The only thing is it could have been a little bit neater but otherwise good job!

this theme is pretty cool. i like the chess idea and the shadow fits in very well. the only thing is i think the shadow could be a bit darker, and just be sure you pay attention to the little details and neatness of the overall piece. but great job!

I really like the concept and Idea with the chess pieces, and I also really like the colors used because it makes it look like a pop-art chess board! The only thing that bothers me (and I did my pattern the exact same way in my 16 box piece too) is the placement of the boxes. I feel like it could have worked a lot better if similar boxes were placed together or there was a different pattern going on. I just feel like the pattern is kinda bland and it would have been really cool if like you placed the L's in the corners and also rearranged everything else. But, I absolutely love the theme of a chess game and all the aspects of it really do come out in your piece, and there is nothing I would change about the shadow shape as well. I think the shadow shape is dark enough to be noticed, yet it doesn't overpower the piece.
good job kate! :P

The chess piece is wicked interesting. The colors are well chosen also. The lines need to be cleaned up a bit

Overall this piece is done very well. The lines could have been a little more straight but I dont think that takes away from the piece at all. The only thing is that the shadow is not lost at the top, but it is less defined and you cannot see the curves of the chess piece, just a minor detail though =]
